Q: …what the heck?

Filmed in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, THE TRANSIENT is a 25-minute short film detailing the story of a homeless vigilante and his case worker, Steve, as they try to thwart Vampire Abraham Lincoln and his gang of 1980's punks from sucking the blood of four-score and seven virgins.

We totally did! Several of them actually. They should be back up on the main page soon.


Q: Why are you picking on Abraham Lincoln?

We like him! Seriously, Vampire Abraham Lincoln is really the most dignified, noble, and well-spoken character in the entire film. It just so happens he’s also a bloodsucking fiend.

The only possible commentary we are making about Lincoln is that his iconic omnipresent "rock star" status in American popular culture has opened him up to a wider range of interpretation.


Q: Why all this trouble just for a silly 25 minute short?

Hey, it’s a fun story and the specific premise at least is pretty original. We really wanted to dig into the excellent combination of action, horror, scifi, and fantasy. More to the point, we’d really like to know if a story like this has the potential for a (more) professional feature-length project down the road.


Q: Really?! That sounds awesome! What can I do to help you guys out?

Well for one, we’re offering preorders for a high quality DVD release of the movie! We’re trying to pack a ton of great extra material in, including cast and crew commentaries, deleted stuff, and (while it usually isn’t a big draw, trust us on this) a pretty kickin’ DVD menu!
